T-money — your transport card in Korea

Buy at any convenience store (CU, GS25, 7-Eleven). Top up and use on metro, buses and shops. Like a super-powered version of a matatu card. KSh 400 covers a full day in Seoul.

Kenyan passport — visa required

Kenyan citizens need a visa for South Korea. Apply at the Korean Embassy in Nairobi. Processing usually takes 5-7 working days. Prepare hotel booking and return ticket.

Korean food — incredible value

Samgyeopsal (grilled meat at the table — like nyama choma but indoors!), Chimaek (fried chicken + beer — your new favourite combo), Bibimbap (rice with veg and egg). Want spicy? Say "maewo". Side dishes (banchan) are free and unlimited.

M-Pesa won't work — get a Korean card

M-Pesa doesn't work in Korea. Most places take card payments (even street vendors). Get a T-money card for small purchases. For bigger items, Visa/Mastercard works everywhere.
